By purchasing or using Melia you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the application.
What you are buying
Melia is sold as a one-time payment of $79 for a lifetime licence to the desktop application, including future updates to it. You are buying software, not AI generation capacity.
The licence grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to:
- install and use Melia for your own work, including commercial and client work;
- receive updates to the application as they are released.
The licence does not permit you to:
- resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the application or your licence key;
- share one licence key across an organisation as a substitute for buying seats;
- decompile or reverse engineer the application, except where such a restriction is void under the law of [JURISDICTION].
What is explicitly not included
- No AI credits. Melia does not sell, bundle or resell generation credits.
- No provider account. You supply your own AI provider API keys and the provider bills you directly under its own pricing.
- No guarantee of provider availability. Which providers Melia supports depends on the current build and on the providers' own APIs, which can change or be withdrawn by them at any time.
Bring your own key
You are responsible for your own API keys: keeping them secret, the costs they incur, and complying with each provider's terms and acceptable-use policy. You are also responsible for the prompts you write and for the visuals you generate, including whether their use is lawful in your jurisdiction and permitted by the provider you used.
Payment, refunds and tax
Payment is processed by Gumroad, which may act as merchant of record and is responsible for charging any applicable VAT or sales tax. Prices are shown at checkout.
Refunds are available within [N] days of purchase, as stated at checkout. Where the law of your country grants you a stronger statutory right of withdrawal for digital goods, that right applies and is not limited by this section.
Updates and discontinuation
"Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the product: you receive updates to Melia for as long as it is maintained. It is not a promise of perpetual development. If the product is discontinued, existing installations continue to work with the last released version; features that depend on a third-party provider's API may stop working if that provider changes or withdraws it.
Warranty and liability
The application is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be free of defects or that generation results will meet a particular standard — output quality depends on your prompts and on the AI provider you chose.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to Melia is limited to the amount you paid for the licence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost work, or the cost of AI generations. Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death, personal injury, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights — is unaffected.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION]. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
Changes
Updated terms are published on this page with a new date at the top. Changes apply to purchases made after publication; they do not retroactively reduce the rights attached to a licence you have already bought.
